Restaurants and Bars in Hua Hin
Hua Hin restaurant
In Hua Hin there is a large number of good restaurants.
You will find international restaurant chains as well as fantastic local restaurants where skilled chefs will do their best to make your meal a really good and authentic Thai experience ..

Hua Hin is especially known for the many good fish/seafood restaurants where you can enjoy everything good and really tasteful from the sea pantry. Most restaurants in Hua Hin is located on Naresdamri Road, which is “the one” food street in Hua Hin also considered as the "food district”.
The road is just next to the Hilton Hotel..

Naresdamri Road is restaurants, eateries, cafes and bars side by side and offer everything from traditional Thai food to both Italian, Indian and German-influenced cuisine with fine steaks and everything that belongs to a solid western meal.

In addition to the regular restaurants, there is of course, as in the rest of Thailand, a plethora of food vendors on the streets serving traditional Thai-food. This can be a good, fast and even cheaper alternative than the more traditional restaurants. Try the traditional Dom Yam Goon soup, if you want real thaifood..us the term "Mai Phet" if you do not like it too strong ;-)

On this site we will describe some of the options you have when go out dining in Hua Hin;

International cuisine like Mc Donalds, KFC..
The small street kitchens..
Fish- and Thairestaurants

Thai- and seafood restaurants
Going to a restaurant in Hua Hin can be quite stunning and if you like, also super cheap. Quite often you will be able to enjoy a complete dinner incl. beer for less than 5-10 euro per. person. The fact that it is so cheap to dine at the restaurants in Thailand you should perhaps keep in mind when considering the holiday budget presented before departure from Europe. It may well be that the flight ticket to Thailand is a little more expensive than to European holiday destinations but in turn, you get the cost of living, on a whole different level. Thailand remains a real cheap holiday destination..

The traditional Thai restaurants and eateries are of course to be found all over the city, but as mentioned earlier, you will find the most restaurants located around Naresdamri Road or the streets around the night market. However, please be aware, that prices here are often higher and may be close to "tourist-trap-level” at least seen with thai eyes, and compared to the price of a meal served at more “invisible” eateries that you will easily find, if you move a little outside the most crowded streets.

Hua Hin is also particularly known for the many seafood-restaurants constructed on stilts over the water in the city harbour.
ChaoLay Seafood Restaurant is the name of one of the more famous places. Do not expect anything fancy interiors and luxury in any way. The place is with spartan furnishings and it is quality of the meal that really counts.
At the fish restaurants in Hua Hin, you can get seafood at prices that you will never experience at home in Europe. How about a whopping lobster..at less than 15 euro.. bon appetit!

If this is the first time you are in Thailand or you do not have much experience with Thaifood, then we recommend that you try the traditional Thai soup "Tom Yum Goon" (soup with shrimp, lemongrass, etc.) or the same variant "Tom Ka Gai" but with chicken. If you are not fond of too spicy food, then you may want to use the term "mai phet" meaning not strong.

Wine is quite expensive in Thailand and it is extremely limited how many Thais who drink wine at dinner. On your vacation in Thailand you will hardly see any thais who drink wine at their meal unless you go at the very fancy restaurants. The favorite drink is water, soft drinks or beer.
Beer drinking is generally the favourite of the Thais, and the most famous local beer brands are Singha, Chang and Leo. Heineken and the danish beer Carlsberg can also be purchased at most restaurants and bars. A large 75 oz. beer costs about 3 Euro at the restaurant, which is about the same price as a single thaidish with rice..

Mc Donalds Hua Hin
A true holiday-resort, with respect for themselves, might as well have its own "American" restaurants. Thus you will in Hua Hin of course find, both a McDonalds, a Burger King and a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant.
You will find McDonalds on two locations in Hua Hin town. First at the shopping center Hua Hin Market Village and second right in the center of the city close to the beach road..

Other international restaurants such as The Pizza Company and Sizzler are both located in the shopping-center Hua Hin Market Village.
